Multimedia Jouralism Vocabulary.



Presaged: To foreshadow or to predict.

Sage: A wise person.

Wordsmith: A skilled user of words.

Scrutiny: Dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power.

Corruption: Dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power.

Era: A period of history with a particular feature or characteristic.

Afflict: To distress physically or mentally.
  
Pander: To cater to the desires of others.

Determinate: Having exact and discernible limits or form.

James Madison: Fourth President of the United States.

Relevant: Having to do with the matter in question.

Fourth Estate: The public press as journalist.

Watchdog: One who serves as a guardian or protector against waste, loss, or illegal practice.

Bulwark of Liberty: A bulwark against something protects you against it. A bulwark of something protects it.

Watergate Scandal: A series of scandals occurring during the Nixon administration in which members of the executive branch organized illegal political espionage against their perceived opponents and were charged with violation of the public trust, bribery, contempt of Congress, and attempted obstruction of justice.


Assailed: To make a concerted or violent attack, assault or verbal ridicule.

Reticent: Not to reveal one's thoughts or feelings readily. To keep personal affair to oneself.

Sovereign: A supreme ruler usually of political power.

Empowered: To give someone the power or authority to do something. To Enable.
