What is Reporting?

Essentially reporting is the written or spoken account of an event,
incident or new information. It's the reporters duty to investigate
and gather facts of the event being covered. This entails who, when,
where, how or why.  Reporting is to provide the general public of news
to offer awareness, by setting forth a cohesive storyline based on
facts.
